Privacy Policy
How we look after the information you give us. Last updated 17 September 2026.
Who we are
This website is run by M&H Decorating, a painting and decorating business operated by Richie Emmett as a sole trader and based in Mexborough, South Yorkshire. If you have any question about your personal information, email mandhdecorating25@gmail.com or call 07359 835804.
What we collect
When you use the callback form we collect the details you choose to give us: your name, phone number, email address (optional), postcode or area, the service you’re interested in, your preferred call time and your message. The form also records the page it was sent from and your IP address, which helps us spot and block spam.
How we use your information
- To call or email you back about your enquiry.
- To arrange a visit and prepare a quote.
- To carry out and manage any work you ask us to do.
We don’t use your details for marketing unless you ask us to, and we never sell or rent them to anyone.
Our lawful basis
We use your information because we have a legitimate interest in responding to enquiries you send us, and because you’ve asked us to take steps, such as preparing a quote, before entering into a contract with you.
Who can see it
Your enquiry is emailed to M&H Decorating. A copy is also sent to Star Websites, the company that built and maintains this website, so they can check the form is working properly. The website is hosted by a UK hosting provider and emails pass through our email providers. We don’t share your details with anyone else unless the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep your information only for as long as we need it to deal with your enquiry and any work that follows, and to meet our legal and accounting obligations.
Cookies and third-party content
This website doesn’t set its own cookies or use analytics tracking. Some pages include a Google Map; when it loads, Google may set cookies and collect information under its own privacy policy. Links to Checkatrade, Facebook and Yell take you to sites with their own privacy policies.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to how we use it. Contact us using the details above. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
